Kagurabachi Chapter 56 Recap
Despite the huge risk, Hakuri tries to use his power and passes out from exhaustion. The Makizumi trio, tasked with protecting Samura, continues to fight the enemies by his side. We learn how the three of them were appointed to help the blind blade-wielder three years ago. They are ready to lay down their lives for their master, although Samura absolutely hates it. At present, one of the Makizumi sorcerers tells Uruha that Samura will never allow them to transport him away. Seeing how powerful they are, the leader of the Hishaku assassins tells the brainwashed soldiers to kill everyone.
The enemies start swarming Samura and the others. The smoke and debris cause the blind swordsman to rely on following the person with the most bloodlust. But as he attacks the man, it turns out to be Uruha, who tricks him into standing on the transportation mandala. The Makizumi then transport Uruha, Samura, and Hakuri away. When Samura tries to go back, Uruha reminds him about the people whose lives depend on them being alive. Hakuri surprises them both by registering Samura and bringing back his Tobimune Enchanted Blade. With the magical sword, Samura unleashes a ‘Crow’ attack, killing all the enemies.

The name ‘Tobimune’ which is related to flying, suggests Samura has more bird attacks in store. The ‘Karasu’ or ‘Crow’ move manifests as thousands of crow feathers as he slashes through his enemies. In the next issue, he will probably kill the leader of the Hishaku assassins who attacked the temple. After using his power, Hakuri will need even more time to recuperate. If Chihiro comes back to the temple with more info about their enemies, the Kamunabi will be able to make their next move to eradicate Hishaku.
