*The Hishaku also targets Samura’s daughter.
The latest issue of Takeru Hokazono’s manga showed Chihiro teaming up with the Masumi sorcerers. He learned about Samura’s daughter, whose death was faked by the blind swordmaster himself. The Masumi, who helped hide her, want to provide her with protection before the Hishaku can kidnap her as leverage against Samura. Two new Hishaku sorcerers make an appearance as Samura’s daughter is revealed to be in Kyoto.
The Masumi Leader Tells Chihiro About Kamunabi, Hishaku, And Samura’s Situation
The latest issue begins with the Masumi leader announcing that Chihiro is their new master. He then asks the protagonist about Uruha’s condition, to which Chihiro says he doesn’t have an update. The Masumi leader says that it’s normal since the forensics team hasn’t gotten their hands on a person with an Enchanted Sword contract in 18 years. However, he thinks it’s best to not hold onto hope. We learn that the Kamunabi, the Hishaku, and Samura are in a three-way deadlock. Weirdly enough, the Hishaku are silent after causing so much ruckus with Chihiro and they couldn’t find a single trace of the organization.
However, the Spiritual Energy of Samura’s Owl ability can be traced back to the Enchanted Swordbearer at any time. If Chihiro draws Enten, Samura will try to kill him. This means the Masumi, who are the perfect anti-Samura force, can fight him any time. Even though the Kamunabi wants the blind swordsman out of the picture, he’s the only one keeping the Hishaku from committing massacres. An attack on Samura might cause the Hishaku to take advantage of the situation, and that’s why all three parties are currently in a deadlock. However, the Masumi has a plan.
Kagurabachi Chapter 61 Explained How The Masumi Helped Fake Samura’s Daughter’s Death
Back at the Kamunabi headquarters, a sorcerer tells another about Samura’s daughter with his divorced wife, who could’ve been their only leverage. Unfortunately, she’s dead, and they now have nothing over the blind swordbearer. Back at the cafe, the Masumi leader reveals that death might be Samura’s way of keeping the people he loves safe. Chihiro learns that three years ago, the Kamunabi wanted to put the families of contracted swordbearers under surveillance and protection, which Samura hated. To keep his daughter away from that, he asked the Masumi to fake her death, which means Kaumunabi can’t use her against him.
Samura’s daughter is currently living under a secret identity. Chihiro refuses to use her as a hostage, and the Masumi leader says he doesn’t have any intention of endangering her either. However, the Hishaku, who are adept at finding people, might try to use her against Samura when their contract is finished and the blind man starts killing them. We learn that the Masumi put a spell on her that made any trace of Samura disappear from her being. Even the girl herself won’t be able to identify him as her father, which is the sacrifice Samura made.
Even though she’s undetectable, the Masumi want to check on her in case the Hishaku finds her. She is currently residing in Kyoto. The scene moves to two Hishaku sorcerers, one of whom is seen carrying an Enchanted Blade, although he can’t use it. We learn that they’ve been given the job of kidnapping a kid. The chapter ends with Samura’s massive Owl power in the sky. The final panel shows us a shot of Samura’s daughter, who is studying in her class, as the massive eye looks at her from the window.
