Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 Announced For Next Year
A new trailer for Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 was released on August 5. This date is special as it’s the protagonist Kafka Hibino’s birthday, also known as Kaiju Day. The preview video revealed that the next season of the anime will be airing sometime in 2025. Even though the sequel was announced right after season 1 ended, fans are glad to learn that they will not have to wait too long for the anime’s return.
The trailer featured a lot of different Kaiju and their fortitude. Kaiju no. 10 had a fortitude of 8.3 while Kaiju no. 9’s fortitude was unknown. This is great foreshadowing for the next season as Kaiju no. 9 is the most ferocious and dangerous antagonist in the manga series. Fans can expect some amazing action from the upcoming sequel now that Kafka’s secret identity as Kaiju no. 8 is out.
A New Special Episode Is Also In Production
Alongside the announcement for season 2, the preview also revealed that a special episode of the anime is also in production. Titled ‘Hoshina’s Day Off’, this episode will be released in Japanese theaters along with a compilation of the best moments from season 1. Fans will be able to watch Kaiju No. 8 season 2 on Crunchyroll when it comes out.

Kaiju No. 8, based on Naoya Matsumoto’s eponymous manga, tells the story of 32-year-old Kafka Hibino whose dream is to become a part of the Kaiju Defence Forces. He wants to fight alongside his childhood friend Mina Ashiro, who is one of the most decorated captains in the Force. However, after ingesting a small creature, he turns into a really powerful Kaiju. Kafka becomes a part of the Force along with Ichikawa and tries to hide his Kaiju identity from everyone else. The first season of the anime is streaming on Crunchyroll.
