Akatsuki Games unveiled Kaiju No.8 The Game following the release of Episode 10 of the original anime series. The first trailer for the game shows an apocalyptic world where the Anti-Kaiju Defense Force is struggling to contain the kaiju appearing from within the earth. Kaijus are monstrous creatures, similar in shape and size to Titans in Attack on Titan, except for the fact that they aren’t human.
Kaiju No.8 The Game trailer mentioned that it will be available on smartphones and PC. It will arrive on Steam, the Google Play Store, and the App Store. Pre-registrations for the game haven’t begun and there is no news on its date of release although it is suspected to arrive in 2025.
Based on the trailer, Kaiju No.8 The Game could encompass gacha and action elements. Fans can acquire the game for free once it is released globally for all devices. As revealed by Gematsu, microtransactions can help boost a player’s progress, further hinting at gacha mechanics.
Defense Force members Kafka and Reno Ichikawa are present in Kaiju No.8 The Game. Kafka’s kaiju form can be seen in the trailer battling humongous and powerful monsters whereas Reino can be seen in his battle suit.
No official information has been provided regarding whether the original Kaiju No. 8 voice actors will voice the characters in the game. Given that both Toho and Production I.G. have greenlighted their development, the original voice actors like Masaya Fukunishi and Wataru Katou could feature in Kaiju No.8 The Game.
