League of Legends is an iconic multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game developed by Riot Games, which has gained immense popularity globally. Looking at the growing mobile gaming market, the developers decided to launch a mobile version of the game. League of Legends: Wild Rift was scheduled to release on the 27th of October 2020, which got delayed because of the onset of Covid-19. However, after initial beta testing in certain selective regions, the game was finally released globally on the 8th of October 2021.
Riot Games managed to adapt the game’s PC version flawlessly for mobile players with some changes which made Wild Rift user-friendly for the players. However, the game is currently globally available apart from a few regions, including India.
Release Date Of League of Legends: Wild Rift In India
League of Legends: Wild Rift is now available in several South-East Asian countries. However, the game is not currently available in India, and there is no official statement from Riot Games regarding the same, so we need to keep track of the updates from the developer.
Although India is a prime market for Riot Games due to its predominant mobile gaming players, and surely League of Legends: Wild Rift’s popularity in India will be bigger than the game’s PC version.
Changes In Wild Rift For Better User Experience
Each League of Legends: Wild Rift match can be played with ten players, equally distributed in two teams for a 5v5 confrontation. Players must select a character based on their skills and destroy a structure named Nexus in the enemy’s team base. However, before destroying the structure, players must bypass the turrets, a line of defensive structure in the enemy team’s base.
However, unlike the game’s PC version, the Nexus turrets and inhibitors were removed from the enemy team’s base. The players in Wild Rift need to use the Nexus itself by attacking the target units. The Wild Rift offers a competitive game mode with a ranking and skill-based matchmaking system, which helps determine the rank of the players in the game. Currently, the game has ten tiers: Iron, Silver, Platinum, Bronze, Gold, Diamond, Emerald, Master, Grandmaster, and Challenger.
