This International Women’s day, Loco introduced their new campaign, “She Got Game”, dedicating their streaming platform for an entire day to female streamers. There has been a rise in female players, streamers and game content creators representing women in the gaming industry. According to the Instagram post by Loco, there has been a three times increase in daily active female users.

With the increasing popularity and numbers of female players and streamers, the Loco statistics suggest that there has been a 2x rise in the number of registrations of female users, as well as a 10x rise in the number of female streamers. Loco supports the improving condition of women in the gaming industry, with 29% of female players considering gaming as a career option.
The stereotypical norms in India regarding female gamers have been degrading and demotivating the confidence of numerous talented female players.
