Magical Delicacy – What Is It About?
Being a Metroidvania game, Magical Delicacy features a non-linear gameplay, allowing players to explore different parts of harbor town Grat. Players assume the role of young witch Flora, who has opened up a shop in Grat, where she will cook a plethora of magical dishes for the townsfolk. There is an assortment of ingredients all over the town, which players can collect through exploration.
The in-game ingredients allow players to cook a variety of meals and potions by following recipes or inventing one’s own creations. They can also enjoy the platforming game while delivering the orders. One can climb bell towers and old ramparts, explore old caves, find new pathways, shortcuts, and more. At the same time, the game also allows players to upgrade their movement abilities.
In terms of upgrades, players can improve their kitchen with new equipment and tools to make the progression much quicker. They can also grow ingredients in their shop’s backyard and store them for later use. Magical Delicacy also allows players to interact with other in-game characters and form new friendships.
