However, the game doesn’t require players to do anything special to recharge the Master Sword in Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom. The sword will recharge during its 10-minute cooldown, while players can swap it with other weapons in their inventory. Once recharged, players can equip the iconic sword again.
How to get Master Sword in Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom

- Starting the “Recovering the Hero’s Sword” quest – It will allow players to get the exact location of the Light Dragon (speaking to the “Deku Tree” to reveal its location).
- Completing “The Dragon’s Tears” quest – Finishing the quest will spawn the Light Dragon for a while (completing all the Geoglyphs).
- Tracking down the Light Dragon by keeping a watch from Sky Islands (the dragon circles around Hyrule).
The third method doesn’t require the completion of any quest but can be more time-consuming if players are not lucky enough to spot the Light Dragon. However, if players spot the dragon, they can use any aerial vehicle to reach the creature’s head to retrieve the sword.
Players must also note that pulling out Master Sword from Light Dragon’s head in Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom requires two green stamina wheels. Therefore, players must try retrieving the sword after acquiring enough stamina.
