Max Caulfield, also known as Maxine, is one of the leading female protagonists in Life is Strange. Born on 21st September 1995, Max is an aspiring photographer and dedicated senior at Blackwell Academy. Max saved one of her childhood friends, Chloe Price, from Nathan Prescott’s clutches. This incident occurred in one of the bathrooms at Blackwell Academy. It was after this incident that she was able to discover her ability to rewind time and maintain track of it. Max is introverted and geeky and can be termed self-conscious in her photography. Rather than participating in different activities, she prefers to observe the world around her. This nature of her might seem ignorant and rude to others. However, Max tries to showcase kindness to every Blackwell Academy student. She was always interested in travelling and adventures, especially with her childhood friend Chloe. She started being more decisive and confident due to the influence that Chloe had on her, as well as her time-altering abilities.

Max appears opposite to her character, showcasing her different looks, up-market dressing, and even hanging out with people from the Vortex club. Max was a person who steered clear of the members of the Vortex club. The story builds on different personalities due to the different chaos theory issues.

Max first discovered her ability for a temporal jump when she witnessed Nathan kill Chloe in the washrooms of Blackwell Academy. Within seconds she found herself back in the classroom, a few minutes before the incident occurred. This showcases that with proper focus and that sort of shock, Max has a powerful ability to perform a temporal jump.
Temporal Rewind:
Another efficient ability that Max has is the ability to go back in time. Even though she can rewind time to a few degrees, she does not shift her position. The surroundings shift and rewind in time, keeping max in a similar position.
