Medal Esports defeated Aster Army in Group B week 2 of Valorant Challenger 2023 South Asia Split 1
Week 2 of the highly anticipated Valorant Challengers League (VCL) 2023: South Asia Split 1 started on 22nd March with a stellar performance from Medal Esports by defeating Aster Army. Medal Esports dominated Aster Army by scoring 2-1 in a three-round match between the two teams. Both teams are from Group B in which Medal Esports is standing at 3 points; whereas Aster Army is yet to score a point. The detailed match analysis is given below.

Match Analysis
Game 1: Ascent map
The first game of the match began on the Ascent map where Aster Army dominated with a straight 4-round win, which again continued from rounds 6 to 9. The first half concluded with a score of 8-4. In the second half of the match, both Aster Army and Medal Esports produced good gameplay; however, DOXZ3R of Aster Army led the way to register a win finishing with a score of 13-7. DOXZ3R registered the maximum kills of 27 for the Aster Army.
Game 2: Pearl map
The second game of the match began on the Pearl map where the dominance over the match shifted to Medal Esports. FOX and tricky of Medal Esports dominated the first half registering a straight 7-round win from rounds 4 to 10. The first half finished with a score of 2-10. In the second round Aster Army tried to fight back; however, Medal Esports was way ahead in their score to finish game 2 with a score of 4-13. The maximum kills registered from Medal Esports are FOX with a total kill of 25, and tricky with a total kill of 22.
Game 3: Haven map
The third game of the match began on the Haven map where Medal Esports once again retained their dominance in the first half registering a score of 4-8. FOX and tricky of Medal Esports once again took charge of the match for the team. However, the second half witnessed a neck-to-neck battle between Aster Army and Medal Esports, where DominiK, and wink, both with total kills of 18 tried to fight back for Aster Army. The second half of the game finished with an equal score of 5-5; however, Medal Esports won the game with the final score of 9-13.
In Conclusion
Medal Esports produced great temperament in the game after losing Game 1 and bounced back with consecutive wins in the rest of the two games. Aster Army tried to bounce back in Game 3 after their meagre performance in Game 2. The star performer of Medal Esports is FOX with 61 kills, and tricky with 62 kills.
