Capcom presents the action role-playing game- Monster Hunter: World
Developed and published by Capcom, Monster Hunter: World is a 2018 role-playing game based on the action from the Monster Hunter series. The game is the fifth mainline instalment that was released all over the world for platforms like PS4 and Xbox One in January 2018. The player here plays as Hunter who has been assigned to hunt down and kill or trap monsters. The player is rewarded through loot having parts from the monster and elements used to craft weapons and armour. Here the game’s core loop consists of player crafting gear that will let the player hunt down monsters. There is an option for the players to hunt alone or in groups through the game’s online multiplayer.
Monster Hunter: World – Features
The game has series’ standard formulas and some current handheld games benefit from the higher processing power that is provided by modern consoles and computers. The game includes environmental spaces which are essential for PlayStation 2. The game is really nice in terms of artificial intelligence and physics, cooperative multiplayer experience and has a user interface bringing new players to the series.
Monster Hunter: World – Critics
The game has critics who appreciated Capcom’s effort behind making the game more accessible to new players and to Western markets without moving out from the series’ core gameplay elements and creating living ecosystems considering it to be the best in the franchise. The game is the highest-selling game in Capcom’s history having over 21 million copies shipped by July 2022. A DLC expansion pack, subtitled Iceborne, was made for home consoles in September 2019 and for Windows in January 2020 and reached 10 million sales by December 2022. The next installment named Monster Hunter Rise was co-developed along with World and declared for a worldwide release on Nintendo Switch in March 2021, with a Microsoft Windows version released next year.
Monster Hunter: World – Gameplay
Try not to hoard items for upgrades and try improving your weapons and armour. Always be prepared whenever you are setting out to hunt. Remember that your weapons will degrade once the battle goes on if you chase after a monster when it flees. Weapons have sharpness at their best. You need to keep it that way so that it maximizes your damage output. You might need to sharpen weapons several times.
Monster Hunter: World – Weapons
It is very natural to stick to one weapon but you should not depend on one weapon only. A good example of this is using heavy-hitting weapons that cause huge damage. If you did not bring a weapon like a hammer and should choose dual daggers. Most enemies have multiple weaknesses so you should keep yourself prepared for that.
You can master the game by knowing how to strike and choosing the right weapons. You can even check out the training area in your home to test out weapons to know how they work but if you practice some of the lower-level hunts with new weapons, you will get an idea to use them effectively.
Monster Hunter: World – Bounties
You should keep all your bounties filled before a hunt. This way, you will be rewarded for what you do and do not miss out on items or Zenny used to upgrade certain equipment. If there remains a blank slot in your six bounty slots, make sure to fill it. The bounty shop is accessible after defeating the Great Jagras for the first time.
It is great news that Monster Hunter World now has an expansion named Iceborne. To explore the new lands, you have to be Hunter Rank 16. Though this is a great challenge, you can always seek help from the other players too.
