Ever since Garena confirmed the re-launch of Free Fire as Free Fire India for the Indian market, the developers have consistently uploaded new teasers for the upcoming game & its content. In a recent promo, Garena teased a brand-new character based on iconic Indian cricketer MS Dhoni, which will arrive in Free Fire’s Indian version after the nationwide launch.
Although Garena has not revealed the character’s first look, players will get to see MS Dhoni’s in-game arrival soon, along with or after Free Fire India’s release. For those unaware, the game will be released on Google Play Store and Apple App Store with a few new features & tweaks. Readers can expect more information and announcements on the game and the new character in the coming days.
Garena Reveals MS Dhoni’s Character In Free Fire India’s New Teaser
Garena’s collaboration with Dhoni can be the biggest crossover in the Indian gaming market’s history. Although the developers haven’t confirmed much about Dhoni’s arrival in Free Fire’s Indian version, they have dropped major hints about the upcoming character by calling it “New Captain.” Moreover, in a separate Instagram post, Garena wrote revealed:
“A legendary force approaches.”
For the unversed, Dhoni is well-known for his love for mobile gaming and has been spotted playing games on his iPad on multiple occasions. Interestingly, it will not be the first time for Garena Free Fire’s collaboration with a cricketer, as Pakistani stars like Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shadab Khan, and Shoaib Malik have previously made their debuts in the Free Fire Pakistan server in 2022.
However, instead of characters, Garena released the bundles for the said cricketers, which might not be the case with “Thala” Dhoni, who is arriving in-game with a character ability. After the release of his character, Dhoni will join the list of the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Hrithik Roshan, KSHMR, DJ Alok, and more, who have partnered with Garena in the past to bring a character based on them.
