My Hero Academia Chapter 429 Spoilers Revealed Uraraka’s Grief Over Toga’s Death
The chapter spoilers begin with the mysterious guy from the beginning of the epilogue narrating his past. He speaks about how everyone treated him well when they learned about his Quirk, which was a mutation. But soon after, his family locked him in a room underground. He was tied up and gagged, which really scared him. A few years later, his family said that the country was doomed and completely abandoned him in that room, only leaving him some bread to eat. When the room was destroyed due to an explosion, he was finally able to venture outside after years. Even though the sunlight now hurt him, he was most surprised to see everyone working together and helping each other.
The story then moves to Ochaco Uraraka, who is seen standing alone atop the hill and recalling Himiko Toga’s last words to her. She starts to cry due to her immense grief but Izuku suddenly arrives beside her. When she asks how he came there, Deku reveals that he had used One For All. Since they had previously conversed at this location, he figured that she would be here. When Uraraka says that she does not wish to be seen, the other comments on how she has been acting weird since the Entrance Exam. He talks about how she had always put others before herself. She calls Deku her hero and says she does not want to depend on him forever. The two then hold hands as Ochaco laments Himiko’s death, saying she would not have died if Uraraka hadn’t been stabbed as she gave her own blood to save the latter. Ochaco wonders if things would have turned out differently if the two of them had met as children.
Deku Comforts Ochaco And The Two Grieve Together
Hearing her words, Deku says that he had also wondered the same about Tenko. He says that if they always keep reaching out to people even when it’s none of their business, maybe things will be different in the future. Their classmates then also arrive, saying how they were worried about Ochaco. Tsuyu hugs her, just as Bakugo asks Izuku whether the members of One For All are still inside him. Hearing his positive answer, everyone asks Midoriya why he did not tell them about it. Deku’s narration speaks of OFA and how it was created through the sacrifice of many people.
A montage then shows other characters and instances. Eri sings at Aoyama’s farewell party and All Might and Aizawa also make an appearance. The scene shifts once again, bringing our focus back to the mysterious guy from the beginning who was freed from imprisonment.
A black liquid starts to pour out of his fingers, but before anything can happen, an older woman calls him and holds his hand. She is revealed to be the woman from the beginning of the epilogue and confesses that she always thought about whether the young boy was saved by heroes that day. After Izuku’s sacrifice, everyone starts to feel like doing good things for others. She tells the boy that Grandma is here. Hearing her kind words, he starts to cry. Deku and Uraraka watch the beautiful scene unfold from a distance. The chapter comes to an end with a quote from the pro-hero Hawks saying that it’s a society where all the heroes have a lot of spare time.
