N0tail and Topson - two iconic players of OG are having a reunion with a new team called Old G
Johan “N0tail” Sundstein and Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen, two of the most iconic players in DOTA 2 and two-time The International champions are forming a new team called Old G. This is pretty much confirmed as this newly formed team can be seen publicly on the DOTA 2 Majors Registrations page. This new team will be competing in the DOTA Pro Circuit 2022-2023 Season
As for the other players of this new team, Old G, it will be Volodymyr “Noone” Minenko and Arif “MSS” Anwar. You might have noticed that there is still one more player left, and that is because it has still not been revealed. So, we cannot comment anything about that as of now. There is still one entire day left for registering the last, so we should be knowing about their last player soon.
Neither of the players mentioned above have made any announcement regarding this new roster yet. But, given that they have registered on the official DOTA Majors Registration site, it is indeed happening.
OG- First team to be a two-time TI Winner
Around three years back, with the end of The International 9 or TI 2019, history was made as OG became the first team to be a two-time The International winner and also the only team to win two TI in a row. The team had won The International 8 and The International 9 back to back with the same roster, making OG one of the most prominent names in the DOTA 2 competitive scene.
After that, over the years, the members were shuffled, and some even retired or went inactive. But, now it seems that two prominent members of the iconic OG roster, Johan “N0tail” Sundstein and Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen, are finally having a reunion with the formation of the new team Old G, which sounds a bit like OG if you spell it out loud.
