Jay Won aka Sinatraa is a professional Valorant player who started his esports career as a competitive Overwatch player for Selfless Gaming. Born on March 18, 2000, Sinatraa won the Overwatch World Cup (OWWC), for which he was also voted the tournament’s most valuable player. In April 2020, Sinatraa decided to leave Overwatch to concentrate on Valorant. He joined the Sentinels Valorant team as a starter, wherein he conquered numerous titles to his name.

Valorant career
In April 2020, Sinatraa became a member of the Sentinels Valorant team. And within a short period, he established himself as one of the scene’s prominent figures. In the PAX Arena Invitational finals, he was the only player at the event with more than 100 assists. Sentinels won the competition by defeating Cloud9 in the finals. On August 2, Sentinels defeated Team SoloMid in the 30Bomb Summer Cup final, giving him a second tournament victory. After Sentinels defeated Team Envy, 3-0, in the Pop Flash grand finals on August 30, Sinatraa successfully defended his tournament title. He was the only player in the world to have more than 600 assists at that time in his career, and he had over 700 in professional play. The JBL Quantum Cup and the Valorant Champions Tour NA Challengers One in February 2021 were the next two tournament titles he secured with Sentinels.
How did his professional career begin?
Sinatraa has always aspired to engage in the gaming industry. He was only 5 years old when he started playing video games. Halo 3 was his favourite game growing up, while Jack and Daxter were his top PlayStation 2 game.
When he was around 12, he began considering being a professional player in the gaming world. He named himself “Sinatraa” as his online name over rapper Logic’s mixtape Young Sinatra: Welcome to Forever, adding an “a” to the end, since “Sinatra” was taken. Sinatraa received an invitation to try out for Selfless Gaming, an esports team headquartered in Georgia, United States, after finishing second in North America and fifth overall in Overwatch’s competitive mode. He won the 2019 Overwatch League Grand Finals while playing with the Shock, earning him the league’s Most Valuable Player. Internationally, he helped Team USA win the 2019 Overwatch World Cup (OWWC), for which he was also voted the tournament’s most valuable player. Marking the beginning of his pro scene before he stepped into Valorant.
