One Piece Chapter 1110 of the manga was a milestone chapter for various reasons. We finally got to see the true forms of all the Gorosei in one single double-page spread- both of which were unprecedented as the last time Oda drew a double-page spread was way back in Dressarosa about 8 years ago.
One Piece Chapter 1110 Explained
One Piece Chapter 1110 was mysteriously titled “Falling Stars” which could allude to the remaining 4 Gorosei descending upon Egghead through their star-shaped dark-flaming summoning circles or, knowing Oda, it could mean something entirely different or at least more than what we’re currently aware of.
5 Gorosei Powers Revealed in One Piece Chapter 1110
The remaining 4 Gorosei are summoned to Egghead and once they materialize, they appear in their transformed states. The chapter cuts back to the Gorosei’s room back in the World Government Headquarters but it’s empty now and only a giant star-shaped dark magic circle remains in the middle of it.
Sanji, upon seeing them arrive, immediately warns the rest of their allies through his Den Den Mushi to get off the island and escape immediately, or things will get unimaginably worse. He even calls Zoro a burden for not being able to finish off Lucci yet. This irks Zoro to finally use a new move with his Conqueror’s Haki and Armament Haki coating and promptly defeat Lucci.
The 5 Gorosei are now depicted in a terrifying double-page spread- something which Oda hasn’t done since Dressarosa when Luffy got his Strawhat Grand Fleet. The page gives the same feeling fans had when they first read Madara’s face-off against all the Tailed Beasts in Naruto Shippuden’s 4th Great Ninja War. The page marks each Gorosei member with their respective mythical inspiration and we’ve laid it all out for you below.
Gorosei | Domain of Authority | Mythical Origin | Description |
St. Jaygarcia Saturn | Warrior God of Science & Defense | Gyüki (Japanese Folklore) | A spider-like creature with the head of a cow. |
St. Marcus Mars | Warrior God of Environment | Itsumade (Japanese Folklore) | A giant eerie bird with draconian features. |
St. Topman Warcury | Warrior God of Justice | Houki (Japanese Folklore) | A giant boar with 4 tusks. |
St. Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro | Warrior God of Finance | Bakotsu (Japanese Folklore) | A skeletal horse from the underworld. |
St. Shepherd Ju Peter | Warrior God of Agriculture | Sandworm | A giant worm that can dig into the ground. |
Since all of them have the signature spiral cloud rings around their necks, we can assume they are all awakened mythical Zoans- if they are Zoans at all. They could also be actual demons or devils.
After arriving V. Nusjuro immediately transforms into a centaur-like form with his torso and head above the skeletal horse. He uses his powers to locate and eliminate Pacifistas by freezing and short-circuiting them with his sword slashes. They appear to carry the same property of the cold underworld that Brook also uses in his attacks.
Marcus Mars flies above in his evil bird form and attacks the Labophase and the Punk Records- seeking to destroy years of Vegapunk’s research and inventions. But the barrier on them still holds so they are protected for now.
Topman Warcury, Jaygarcia Saturn, and Ju Peter take on Luffy’s awakened Gear 5 Sung God Nika form. Ju Peter digs and disappears into the ground only to appear a while later right under Luffy’s feet. After being pushed by Warcury and Saturn, Luffy gets eaten but only for a second as soon after the Giants Dorry and Broggy arrive just in time to save the day by slashing away Ju Peter’s head and freeing Luffy.
Luffy remarks on them as monsters and uses his new moves on them. There are 7 minutes remaining to Vegapunk’s broadcast and in the meantime we see his figure drinking tea on the screen.
