Although it has not been officially announced, the Egghead Arc of the One Piece manga is likely finished. The Straw Hats left for Elbaf, where the next part of the story will take place. One Piece Chapter 1123 Recap
The latest chapter of the manga begins by revealing that all the marines on Egghead Island, including the vice admirals, have passed out due to the force of Joyboy’s Haki. The Straw Hats and the giants sail away from Egghead, while Dory and Broggy comment that the Haki was likely even stronger than Shanks’. Luffy thanks Emeth for his help, but the giant robot only lies lifeless on the ground. Sanji looks at Dr. Vegapunk’s dead body and says what the scientist had told him before did not sit right with him.
A flashback begins, showing the readers how Dr. Vegapunk, Shaka, and Pythagoras had found out about the traitor two weeks before the massacre on Egghead Island. At first, they thought it was Lilith but later discovered that York was the one behind the betrayal. After the incidents of Lulusia Island, the three of them realized that they were as good as dead and decided to make sure the world knew what they found out about the Void Century. Shaka and Pythagoras helped Vegapunk record a message and hide the Den Den Mushi inside Emeth. Afterward, they wiped off their own memories so that nobody could find out about the plan. When the three of them woke up with no recollection of the last two weeks, Vegapunk found a note that his past self had left for him. The message told him to believe in their measures and die a glorious death.
Later, when he and Sanji were going down to save Bonney, he asked the cook to leave him there as he felt it was important. He also told Sanji that he wanted the Straw Hat pirate crew to find the One Piece. In the present, we see the giants and Usopp celebrating their much-awaited journey towards the Kingdom of Elbaf.
