One Piece Episode 1118 Recap
The latest installment highlights everything Sabo faced during the Reverie in Mary Goeise. It starts with him entering the Pangea castle and defeating a few guards. After getting the keys to open the slaves’ collars, he meets Jewelry Bonney who wants to save Kuma and restore his humanity with Dr. Vegapunk’s help. The two of them overhear some guards talking about how anybody who comes across the Lost Chamber is immediately eliminated. The episode then focuses on the meeting between King Nefertari Cobra and the Five Elders.
The King talks about the 20 monarchs who formed the World Government 800 years ago and became the Celestial Dragons. Cobra’s ancestor Nefertari Lily did not wish to become a Celestial Dragon and allegedly returned to rule over her people in Alabasta. However, there were no official records of her ever reaching Alabasta and her younger brother was the one who became the King. When Cobra asks what happened to her, the Elders tell him that there is no way of knowing her fate.
Hearing this, Cobra asks about what the ‘D’ in a letter left by Nefertari Lily means. Before he can get an answer, Imu enters the room and sits down on the Empty Throne while muttering Lily’s name. This shocks Cobra as nobody knows about the existence of Imu or what they actually are. The narrative then moves to Kuma, who chains Shirahoshi under Saint Charlos’ orders. Saint Donquixote Mjosgard allows orders for Sai and Leo to take care of it. The two pirates easily defeat Charlos, allowing the Revolutionary Army to flee with Kuma.

According to the official preview, the next episode of the anime is titled ‘The Entrusted Message! King Cobra’s Resolve’. Seeing that his life is in danger, King Cobra will tell the Revolutionary Army leader Sabo a family secret that has been passed down for generations. Previously, the World Government wanted to blame Sabo for Cobra’s death. However, Sabo himself will reveal how the kindhearted King actually died after meeting Imu. Moreover, the last episode revealed Imu’s voice for the first time in the anime. Fans are excited to learn who is voicing the enigmatic and powerful final antagonist of the series.
