One Piece is a long anime– two decades long in fact, and yet One Piece filler episodes comprise only about 10% of the total length. While some of these are a decent watch, most deserve to be skipped for they are not only bad but they also ruin the flow of the story arc they’ve been put into.
One Piece Filler Episodes List: What to Watch & What to Skip
Only about 90-100 episodes in this 1000-plus behemoth are filler episodes. Some of these are actually watchable while most should be skipped for a smoother experience. There’s even one filler arc that is a must-watch. We’ll divide the fillers between ones that you should skip and others that are watchable.

- Episodes 196-206 (G-8 Arc)
- Episodes 317-319 (Character-driven Slice of Life)
- Episodes 326-336 (Ice Hunter Arc)
- Episodes 426-429 (Movie-connected- Strong World)
- Episodes 575-578 (Movie-connected- Film Z)
- Episodes 747-750 (Movie-connected- Film Gold)
- Episode 807 (Filler in Whole Cake Island Arc)
- Episode 881 (Filler in Reverie Arc)
“Movie-connected” fillers are preludes to said movies and help establish important context. You can save these episodes for later when you begin those movies. The ones starting with “Filler in” are filler episodes weaved into a canon arc of the story. They are mostly filler but they do have some canon moments and are thus highly recommended for you to watch.
The “Character-driven” fillers are usually episodes within canon arcs that focus on individual characters by giving them each a mini-arc to establish overlooked character beats that haven’t been brought to light or focused on for a while. “Alternate Reality” fillers are fun slice-of-life ‘what-if’ episodes where they put our familiar crew members in a different setting and universe and let things play out. They hold no meaning or significance to the story but if you enjoy fanfics, these are right up your alley.
