What Can You Expect From Oshi No Ko Chapter 158?
Much like chapter 156 of the manga, chapter 157 also felt like a filler. Since there was not much plot progression, we cannot yet predict what the upcoming update of the manga might bring. After spending a day together, Ruby and Aqua will likely get back to their regular lives as celebrities. We might get an update on Mem-cho, who had previously vowed to get enrolled in a university.
Oshi No Ko Chapter 157 Recap
The latest installment of Aka Akasaka’s manga begins with the rebranded B-Komachi touring several locations. They perform across several cities within the span of a few days, which leaves Ruby Hoshino completely drained. As she complains to her brother about her busy schedule, Aqua asks if she is done for today. She answers affirmatively and inquires if Aqua is free for the day too. When he confirms, Ruby says that the two of them should relax at home today.
The two of them spend a normal day together, which is rare for the sibling duo. Aqua asks Ruby if being an idol is fun. She says that although it’s not easy, she loves it. She remembers her previous life when she was in the hospital and how she had dreamt of this life. Gathering all the members, practicing with them, trying out new platforms, training camp, and performing live are all part of her life and she enjoys it.
She then comments that her brother also has a busy life with shooting a drama, going to reality and variety shows, and acting in a movie. Aqua agrees that it is indeed fun. Ruby reveals that although she wants to perform at the Tokyo Dome someday, she is also thankful for a peaceful day like this. Aqua suggests that they cook dinner today and surprise Miyako since she always does it for them. The two go out to buy groceries and prepare dinner together. In the end, Ruby falls asleep on Aqua’s lap while he also nods off. When Miyako returns and smells the food, she wonders what the twins are dreaming about.
