Oshi No Ko Chapter 159 Recap
The revelation that Niino did not stab the actual Ruby, but Akane, who was impersonating her, sent shockwaves through the fandom. Akane was wearing a knife-proof vest, so she was not injured. Ichigo Saitou then appears and subdues Niino, holding her to the ground. Akane takes off her blonde wig and it’s revealed that Ruby has already safely reached the site of B-Komachi’s final performance. Saitou asks why Niino tried to murder Ruby and if this was her revenge on Ai.
We then learn that Ryosuke used to be Niino’s boyfriend when she was a part of B-Komachi. But soon after they debuted, Ryosuke became obsessed with Ai. But Niino reveals that it was not jealousy but her devotion towards Ai, which led her to commit such heinous crimes. She was the one who told Ryosuke to commit suicide after he stabbed Ai Hoshino. Niino confesses that she wanted Ai to stay in the spotlight even after death, and killed anyone who tried to surpass her. Akane then asks Niino who was pulling the strings behind her and Ryosuke.
The manga moves to B-Komachi’s extremely successful live performance, including Kana, who announces her retirement. Ruby continues to shine as brightly as ever, just like her mother Ai. We then see her brother Aqua, who confronts Hikaru Kamiki, his biological father and the mastermind behind Ai Hoshino’s tragic murder.
