Oshi No Ko Chapter 164 Recap
Titled ‘FINALE’ the latest chapter begins with Kana and Ruby, who are both busy with their upcoming performances. The focus moves to Aqua, who is drowning in the river after stabbing himself and killing Kamiki. The protagonist struggles against the pain and suffocation and thinks about how he doesn’t actually want to die. However, he suddenly starts hallucinating about his sister performing a song with B-Komachi, which alleviates his pain. Aqua finally passes away with a smile on his face.
We learn that his body was found by some fishermen after a few days. It was perfectly preserved due to the cold weather. The news also worked as he had intended, with everyone blaming Kamiki for Aqua’s murder. Kana is shellshocked after learning about Aqua’s demise and her eyes turn dark. Akane visits the riverbank with some flowers, and we see that she has deduced why Aqua was willing to die to protect Ruby. Akane blames her late friend for not telling her about his plan as she was willing to go to hell with him.

According to the leaks, Fuyuki Niino confessed to all the crimes that Kamiki made her commit after her arrest. Thanks to her statement, even more victims’ and murderers’ identities were revealed, turning into a massive operation. Akane thinks about how Aqua didn’t want her to take risks and didn’t leave her a letter since it could get her in trouble. At Aqua’s open-casket funeral, we finally get a look at his dead face. Kana slaps the dead body, which also prompts Miyako to slap her in turn. She tells Aqua how she kept her promise of slapping his dead body if he died and asks him to keep his end of the promise.
She yells at him to come back to life since she hasn’t even confessed to him yet. Akane comes in to support her as Kana continues to cry. Later at the concert, Kana can’t find Aqua’s white glow stick. We also learn that the movie was screened, and was a massive hit. In the end, Ruby is seen kneeling and whispering in her room about losing another person she loved. Akane thinks that even though most people won’t be able to overcome this trauma, Ruby Hoshino is probably someone who can.
