What Can You Expect From Oshi No Ko Season 2 Episode 9?
The current arc of the anime has been delving deep into the psyche of the main characters one by one. After looking into the life of Kana Arima, the next update will likely focus on Taiki Himekawa, who is playing the character of Blade, the protagonist of Tokyo Blade. Although he is a fantastic character and a great mentor to Kana, he has his own past that affects his performance now. Fans can also expect to see how Aqua handles the sudden trigger which can send him into a traumatic spiral.

The latest episode of the anime puts the spotlight, almost literally, on Kana Arima. During her first scene with Akane Kurokawa, she did not try very hard to take center stage, which annoyed Taiki Himekawa. Aqua’s character Touki and Taiki’s character Blade then have an on-stage confrontation. Taiki’s very emotional performance was balanced perfectly by Aqua’s restrained acting.
Feeling that Akane might overpower Kana, Taiki improvised some parts, which also forced the other characters to change their scenes accordingly. Due to this, Kana finally gets a chance to shine and act the way she has always wanted, surprising everyone. The audience then got to see what her childhood was like and how her mother pushed her to become a star from a young age. Kana is able to overcome her past and finally gain back her confidence as an actor. Both Akane and Aqua are surprised by her brilliance. In the end, Akane’s character sacrifices herself for Aqua’s character. Although it put Aqua squarely in the spotlight, it also triggered his childhood trauma surrounding his mother Ai Hoshino’s unfortunate death. In the next chapter, Aqua will have to face his trauma and overcome it to match his co-actors’ performances.
