Amidst the success of Palworld, its publisher and developer, Pocket Pair, has already started working on another title. Recently, Japan-based mobile game publisher KLab Inc. officially announced its collaboration with Pocket Pair to bring a brand-new mobile game.
For those unaware, KLab has previously released titles like Bleach: Brave Souls, Bleach Soul Rising, Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team, and many more. However, apart from the announcement of the collaboration, neither KLab nor Pocket Pair has revealed the title of their upcoming venture.
KLab To Jointly Develop And Operate A ‘Hybrid-Casual’ Game With Palworld Maker, Pocket Pair
In the official press release, KLab has left out most of the details around the upcoming game, which it is bringing in a collaboration with Pocket Pair. However, the Japan-based mobile game studio has confirmed that it will “jointly develop and operate a hybrid-casual game” with the Palworld developer.
KLab also revealed that “a hybrid-casual game is a game model that combines the simplicity of casual games with the mechanics of online games that can be played for longer periods.” Thus generating “revenue from both in-game purchases and advertisements” for the studio.
Furthermore, the press release also reflected upon KLab’s partnership with Pocket Pair, as it revealed,
“KLab’s experience in mobile online games is being brought together with Pocket Pair’s strength in planning and developing unique games to deliver an exciting experience to mobile game players worldwide by jointly developing and operating a hybrid-casual game made for smartphones. Joint development between the two companies began in 2020, and after numerous prototypes and KPI tests, the project is finally ready for commercialization.”
