Paper Rex started their VCT Tournament with a victorious game, by defeating DetonatioN FocusMe with a score of 2-0
Paper Rex started their VCT 2023 Pacific League with a win on Day 2 by defeating DetonatioN FM with a score of 2-0. In a two-round match, Paper Rex completely dominated the first game; however, DetonatioN provided a tough fight during the second game but eventually lost the match. A detailed overview of the match between Paper Rex and DetonatioN FocusMe is given below.

Match Analysis
Game 1: Pearl Map
Paper Rex started the first game on Pearl Map with dominating gameplay against DetonatioN FM. The first half of the game ended with a score of 9-2, and the dominance of Paper Rex continued during the second half with a score of 4-2, finishing the first game with a final score of 13-5. Jinggg and Benkai with 19 kills each maintained dominance for Paper Rex in the game. Suggest with 15 kills and takej with 16 kills tried to maintain their fight for DetonatioN in the game.
Game 2: Lotus Map
The second game started on Lotus Map where both teams gave a strong fight against each other. In the first half, both teams were trying to gain a lead over one another; however, Paper Rex gained the final blow over DetonatioN with a score of 7-5. In the second half, both teams fought with equal dominance and levelled the score 6-6; however, Paper Rex won the game with a final score of 13-11. Reita with 20 kills, Suggest with 29 kills, and Anthem with 21 kills was the star performer for DetonatioN in the second game; whereas d4v41 from Paper Rex ended up with 25 kills.
Conclusion
Paper Rex produced great temperament in the match by winning both games against DetonatioN FM. DetonatioN tried to fight back in the second game; however, Paper Rex got better and swept the match by 2-0. Apart from this match, another match concluded on Day 2 of the VCT 2023 Pacific, between Team Secret and Talon Esports. Team Secret won the match 2-1 by defeating Talon Esports.
On the other hand, today’s match between Rex Regum Qeon and Gen G Esports provided fans with a thrilling experience. Gen G was able to stand victorious with a 2-0 scoreline, defeating RRQ in a nail-biting match. With this, the Week 1 of the VCT Pacific league came to an end. The next matches of the Week 2 tournament will be starting on April 1st, 2023.
