Pokemon HOME is a one-stop for all Pokemon fans who want to store their pocket monsters from different games in a single application. Compatible with Nintendo Switch and mobile devices, HOME is a cloud service compatible with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and Pokemon Sword and Shield.
Unfortunately, users have been facing a recurring issue: the Pokemon HOME Error Code 10015. It appears when the user is trying to save box changes or transfer Pokemon into their HOME account, thereby negating the central feature of the cloud-based application.
Reason For Pokemon HOME Error Code 10015
Nintendo hasn’t revealed the official reason for the issue. Nonetheless, players have come up with two different reasons for encountering Pokemon HOME Error Code 10015:
- The Pokemon cannot be deposited or transferred to HOME because it isn’t registered in the application’s database even though it is available in games such as Sword and Shield.
- The player has obtained a ‘bad egg’ or a hacked Pokemon from Wonder Trade. Such Pokemon aren’t recognized by HOME which in turn prevents players from transferring the ‘mon.
Pokemon HOME Error Code 10015 redirects the player to the title screen after showing the “An error has occurred” message. Appearing frequently after the 2.0 update in May 2022, the issue has been addressed by Nintendo in its patch updates and somewhat fixed after the 3.0.1 update.
How To Fix Pokemon HOME Error Code 10015?
Even though the cases of Error Code 10015 have significantly decreased in recent times, here are a few fixes if you have a rare encounter with the issue while using the HOME service.
Avoid Wonder Trading
Wonder Trading allows players to keep a Pokemon in the Wonder Box which shall be traded with other players. Often during trades, your Pokemon is exchanged for an illegal or unregistered Pokemon or Egg. This takes up your inventory space while also disallowing the use of the obtained, hacked, Pokemon in certain modes and further transfers.
Instead of using the Wonder Box, try using Friend Trade or Room Trade. Pokemon obtained from friends are more than likely to be legit. Also, hackers usually cannot bypass the Room Trade with their ‘mons. Each room can hold up to 20 people and players never know which Pokemon they can obtain.
Reinstall/Update Pokemon HOME
Make sure to have the latest version of Pokemon HOME as Nintendo releases patches and fixes frequently to counter issues such as Error Code 10015. You can update the application from the Google Play Store or the App Store. Nintendo Switch users can select HOME and press the + button on the controller to open the Software Update menu.
If you have the latest version, reinstall HOME and check if the problem persists. Error Code 10015 could also be caused due to bugs that require a reinstall rather than a restart.
Contact Pokemon HOME Support Service
If you require assistance directly from the Nintendo team, submit a request on the Pokemon HOME Support page and clearly state the details of the Error Code 10015 (when it occurs and how frequently). A staff member will respond to your request after you have submitted your query.
That’s all the fixes for Pokemon HOME Error Code 10015. Nintendo users getting the error while trying to ‘Save Changes and Exit’ from the Boxes menu can apply these solutions to resolve the problem.
