* Speed responded to the invitation via X.
Darren “IShowSpeed” Watkins Jr. is known for his exceptional agility, which he never shied away from showing off during his live streams. The popular American YouTuber ended up challenging Polish Olympic runner, Ewa Swoboda, when he was reacting to one of her videos. Speed claimed that he would never lose to anyone in race, as he said:
“Nobody in the world can beat me in a race, okay chat? I have never in my life, ever…there was no point in my life where I ever lost a race…and when I say it, I mean it deep down…that’s why people call me speed, when I was little I never lost a race.”
Following Speed’s challenge, Swoboda was quick to respond, as she invited the American streamer to race in Poland. In a clip, the Polish sprinter is seen calling out Speed, as she says (translated from Polish):
“Well, if he comes to Poland and he competes in the RMF FM radio contest, maybe I’ll run with him, but he has already been to Poland, so chances are slim.”
She added,
“The day before the Kamila Skolimowska Memorial, on August 24th, there will be a race at the Silesian Stadium, where the winners of the RMF FM Contest will run 100 meters with me, so maybe he still has time to sign up.”
After the clip went viral, Speed responded to the invitation via X, as he posted a screenshot of Instagram DM. Check out Speed’s response to the race challenge as follows:
“I’m ready”: IShowSpeed’s Reply To Ewa Swoboda’s Race Invitation In Poland
Almost a day after Ewa Swoboda’s invitation to race in Poland, Speed has reacted on X with a positive response. The YouTuber wrote “I’m ready,” as he posted a screenshot of his Instagram direct message to Swoboda, which read:
“You wanna race me?”
It is not the first time Speed is participating in a public event. In May 2024, he participated in Cooper’s Hill cheese rolling race, where he finished 4th. Unfortunately, following the race Speed was hospitalized for sustaining an injury. In a separate incident in July 2024, Speed even beat the fastest Norwegian national footballer in a race.
Apart from his race challenge, Speed recently jumped over two speeding cars. The incident reportedly earned him a ban on YouTube for not complying with the guidelines. This time around, it will be interesting to see Speed racing in Poland, when he takes up the challenge to beat Swoboda in a foot race.
