According to PS Deals, Alone in the Dark 2 is being emulated for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The title was originally released on PC in 1993 but it arrived on PlayStation 1 in 1996.
Alone in the Dark 2 continues Edward Carnby’s struggle against the forces of darkness. Set three months after the events in Alone in the Dark, Carnby is a Supernatural Private Eye who investigates the kidnapping of a young girl. The clues lead him and his partner Ted Stryker toward the Hell’s Kitchen mansion from where the action takes off.
The release date in the description for Alone in the Dark 2 is listed as November 7 but that could be a placeholder. Official news about the PS Plus Premium lineup for this month could be revealed next week.
Earlier this year, Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare appeared in PS Plus Premium. The first reboot of the series is most memorable for its atmospheric horror. Lighting is used sparingly such that players have to rely on their flashlights to unravel hidden details.
