Reckoning Esports defeated Lethal Esports in its first match of the tournament
Reckoning Esports with an outstanding performance outsmarted Lethal Esports, finishing with a score of 2-0 on Day 6 of VCL 2023 South Asia Split 1. Yesterday, both teams from Group B played a two-round match, in which Reckoning Esports registered a win in their opening match; however, Lethal Esports faced their second consecutive loss in the tournament. Match Analysis
Game 1: Pearl Map
Game 1 started on the Pearl map, and Lethal Esports began with a straight 4-round win. But Reckoning Esports after an initial stumble bounced back and won the last five rounds of the first half. In the second half of the match, Reckoning Esports did not give Lethal Esports a single space to make a comeback in the game and finished the game with a score of 6-13. hvoya with 22 kills, Deadly 10 with 17 kills, and flabben with 22 dominated the game for Reckoning Esports.
Game 2: Ascent Map
Right from the beginning Reckoning Esports dominated over Lethal Esports in the second game which was played on Ascent Map. The first half concluded with a score of 4-8. The second half of the match was also dominated by Reckoning Esports who finished with a score of 1-5. The game seemed one-sided for Reckoning because Lethal Esports completely lost their gaming strategy and the second game ended with a score of 5-13. Once again flabben recorded 25 kills in the second game and became the star player for Reckoning Esports ending with a total of 47 kills in the match.
In Conclusion
Reckoning Esports delivered a stellar performance in their opening match and completely outclassed Lethal Esports. After a defeat in their second consecutive match, the journey for Lethal Esports turned difficult in the tournament. To retain their place in the tournament, Lethal Esports need to win their next two fixtures scheduled on 31st March and 7th April.
It will be interesting to see how Reckoning Esports will perform in their next match against Medal Esports on 2nd April, as both teams so far performed exceptionally well in this tournament.
