Rick and Morty The Anime is set to hit the screens this year within the Summer 2024 anime season. Recently, an official trailer for the Rick and Morty anime was released which announced its release date, a few of the production staff, and a few voice actors for the cast. Rick and Morty: The Anime release date is set for Thursday, August 15, 2024, at 12 AM PST. The English version is set to release on August 15 whereas the subtitled version in Japanese is set to drop two days later on August 17, 2024. Rick and Morty The Anime will be released on Adult Swim– specifically on its Toonami block. It will also be released on the MAX Channel one day after it airs on Adult Swim.
As you can see from the trailer, it would seem the anime will be originally voiced in English. We can still hear Japanese OST and lyrics in the trailer which will be a nice touch for anime fans. The artstyle is also a very western-cartoon theme instead of a typical anime style of art and action.

Rick and Morty The Anime will be written and directed by Tower of God Season 1 director Takashi Sano, who’s a big fan of the franchise and is excited to expand the Rick and Morty universe to anime.
Sola Entertainment will produce the anime on Adult Swim, with Jason Demarco and Joseph Chou heading the production teams. Those in the US can expect Rickmobile and Mortymobile (nerdy, wacky vehicles) to tour across the country as a marketing campaign to build up the hype.
