Fisch’s popularity has surged in recent months. Several Roblox users are flocking to the servers daily while developer WoozyNate is adding fresh content to keep them busy. Following the release of bestiaries for the Desolate Dwelling and The Depths, an event-specific bestiary has appeared in the fishing game. The Roblox Fisch Archaeological Hunt event will last from November 23 to 30, 2024, during which players can get the prized Relic Rod after catching 10 specific fish.
How To Find Dr. Finneus And Start Roblox Fisch Archaeological Hunt?
Dr. Finneus in Roblox Fisch can be found between Snowcap Island and Terrapin Island aboard a lone crane ship. The NPC’s name is written above it along with the countdown for the event. If you are struggling to find the location, head to the coordinates (1170, 132, 2456) after setting the numbers on a GPS device, or follow these steps:-
- Launch Fisch on the Roblox platform and wait for the character to spawn.
- If you are on the starter island, Moosewood, head to the nearest waterbody and spawn a boat. Boats in Roblox Fisch are sold by Merchants at the docks.
- Sail southeast from Moosewood to begin the journey towards Dr. Finneus.
- Identify the crane ship of Dr. Finneus, which is colored orange, grey, and black.
- Step into the ship and interact with the NPC to begin the Roblox Fisch Archaeological Hunt.
After interacting with Finneus, he will ask you to catch 10 prehistoric fish bones to access “the mysterious island that has a rod!” The locations and the rarity of the fish vary. Remember, you have seven days from the beginning of the event to complete the bestiary and get the Relic Rod.

The NPC will give you a Handwritten Note, which upon examination, is revealed to be a map that contains the coordinates of an island and features glyphs that will be useful soon. The mysterious island, later revealed to be named Archaeological Site, is between Snowcap Island and Mushgrove Island.
Similar to The Depths location, the Relic Rod is hidden behind a cave door in the center of the Archaeological Site island. The door can be opened by pressing the buttons on a stone panel according to the order mentioned in the Handwritten Note by Dr. Finneus. Altogether, it is a simple task.
The Relic Rod is one of the best fishing rods in Roblox Fisch. It can withstand up to 2500 kg and has a 20% Lure Speed and 25% base Luck. However, the rod won’t be free during the Roblox Fisch Archaeological Hunt. It can only be purchased for 8000C$ after completing the tasks given by Dr. Finneus.
