The successful acquisition of the young Russian talent Ilya “something” Petrov was announced by Paper Rex on March 22 on their official Twitter handle. The top esports organisation from Southeast Asia signed the 21-year-old Russian player for his stellar Valorant background. something is competing in Japan since March 2021 playing with teams like Insomnia, BLUE BEES, and Sengoku Gaming. The roster change for Paper Rex came just ahead of VCT Pacific League Season.
