Sakamoto Days Chapter 177 Recap
The latest chapter of Sakamoto Days starts with Nagumo being surprised as Kindaka wakes up from an 8-year-long coma. Nagumo fills him in on what happened after their assignment went wrong. Kindaka is surprised to learn about what has become of Uzuki, who used to be a quiet kid. Nagumo tells Kindaka that he has paid about 1.5 billion Yen in hospital bills for him and asks for the money back. Kindaka decides to take up some stray assassination jobs to make money. He notices that there is a bounty of 1 billion Yen on Taro Sakamoto but does not recognize him as the man has gained a lot of weight. He decides to start with this project as it could make him a lot of money quickly.

The manga then focuses on Sakamoto, Rin, and Heisuke who are out for a run. When Rin says that this training is essential to get stronger, Sakamoto wonders if it would help them at all. Suddenly, they are attacked by Kindaka, who used to be the fastest assassin of the JAA. Despite being in a coma for years, he is extremely agile and swift. Rin tries to use his mind control powers on him but misses. Heisuke attempts to aim with his rifle and Kindaka mentally compliments his impressive stance.
When he and Sakamoto clash, Kindaka does not recognize him and jokes about how he has the same name as the legendary former assassin Taro Sakamoto. Annoyed, Sakamoto speeds up and goes back to his thinner self. Once aware of his identity, Kindaka happily talks to them and even applauds Rin and Heisuke’s abilities. Looking at him, Sakamoto decides that Kindaka would be the perfect master for his juniors. This declaration surprises everyone else, including Kindaka, who does not know what’s going on.
