Another new character made an appearance in Yuto Suzuki’s popular action manga series. The JAA Prison’s Head Guard Jo Shackles confronted Boiled and Shin before they could get into a fight. After learning Shackles can get someone to the deepest level where the Fortune Teller Atari is kept, Shin picked a fight with him.

Sakamoto Days Chapter 182 Recap
Boiled agrees to fight with Shin who is eager to face off against a strong opponent. But before they can start brawling, some prison guards corner them with guns. A tall man named Jo Shackles enters and fans learn that he is the infamous Head Guard of the JAA Prison. Even Boiled, who is an extremely strong man, cowers before Jo, who threatens to send him to the lowest level of the jail. Everyone backs off at the thought of being transferred to the bottom where the most dangerous criminals live.
Shin, however, wants to meet Atari the Fortune Teller, who is also kept at the deepest level of the prison. He picks a fight with Jo in order to be transferred there. However, the Head Guard easily subdues him and beats Shin mercilessly. In the end, he tells Shin that only prisoners who prove to be a nuisance to him are sent to the lowest level. What Shin did was nothing out of the ordinary and does not qualify him as enough of a threat to be sent down below.
Sakamoto Days Chapter 183 Predictions
Shin will need some time to recuperate from his fight with Jo Shackles. In the meantime, he will likely train his ESP to use it during a battle. Fans can expect to see another Shin vs. Shackles brawl pretty soon. It is likely that Boiled, who was shot in the leg by Shackles, will also try to help Shin and Heisuke get to the bottom of the JAA Prison where Atari is locked up. Sakamoto, who has been absent for the last few chapters, might make an appearance in the next update.
