With the return of India’s one of the most iconic games, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), Skyesports is back with their Skyesports Champions Series (SCS). This year, the Skyesports Champions Series will host the battle royale game, BGMI, with twenty-four of the best squads in the country getting a chance to compete in the prominent IP. Skyesports revealed a massive prize pool of ₹25,00,000 for SCS BGMI making it one of the top events after the game’s return.
The tournament will be starting from June 7, 2023, with the qualifiers, and will continue till June 18, 2023. The Skyesports Champions Series BGMI will be among the first of many online and offline tournaments, aiming to build a structured roadmap for BGMI esports.
Shiva Nandy, the CEO, and founder of Skyesports shared his excitement about hosting the SCS BGMI, with a whopping prize pool of ₹25,00,000.
“The tournament will serve as a platform for India’s top team to battle it out in a top-tier competitive environment. The return of BGMI to our tournament lineup reaffirms our commitment to providing continuous and exciting events across a plethora of games to our diverse audience.”
Before the initial beginning, Skyesports will be hosting qualifiers on June 7 and June 8, 2023. The top six teams from the qualifiers will compete with the 18 invited teams in the tournament. The semifinals of SCS-BGMI will take place from June 9 and 13. The teams will be split into three groups to provide fair gameplay. The top 16 teams that emerge victorious in the semifinals will compete in the grand finals of SCS, battling for the crown, and sharing the prize pool of ₹25,00,000. The tournament schedule is:
- SCS Qualifiers: June 7 and 8
- SCS Semifinals: June 9 to 13
- SCS Grand Finals: June 14 to 18

Where to Watch the Skyesports Champions Series BGMI
Fans and spectators will be able to witness the tournament from June 9, 2023, on the official Skyesports YouTube channel, streaming from 1:00 PM IST.
Ever since the initial release of the game, Skyesports has been one of the top original IPs of BGMI since June 2021. One of the first-ever major tournaments for BGMI, the Skyesports Championship 4.0 held in September 2021 witnessed a peak viewership of 221,000. On the other hand, Skyesports Grand Slam held in early 2022 also recorded a high viewership of about 150,000 viewers.
The top two teams of SCS will be directly invited to the Skyesports Championship 5.0 Finale, a LAN event held in 2023. Witness the exciting chicken dinners and learn new techniques and skills during the Skyesports Champions Series BGMI tournament.
