Dota 2 and CS:GO makes a comeback in India as Skyesports Championship 4.0 conducts the LAN tournament
The moment that everyone was waiting for is finally here, Skyesports after expanding to South Asia is now going to revive the old famous competitive games in India. Yes, they will host a LAN tournament which will take place in Mumbai. Registrations are currently open.
How it started
Well as you all read in our previous articles, Shiva Nandy mentioned the Skyesports Championship 4.0 as it was registered as a Professional Tournament in Dota 2’s tournament list. And many wanted a CS:GO LAN event alongside it and all it can be said is that their demand is fulfilled.
The prize pool revealed!
The much-anticipated tournament is finally arriving, Shiva Nandy, CEO and Founder of Skyesports finally revealed the grand prize pool, which is $25,000 USD. The grand prize pool is split among the two OG games CS:GO holds $10,000 while Dota 2 holds $15,000 prize pool. The tournament is powered by AMD with Logitech as the gaming partner and Fanclash as the official Fantasy partner.
Revival of OG games
CS:GO and Dota 2 are competitive games that have lost their legacy in India. As everyone knows, these two esports titles are much more popular and have a large player base worldwide. But in India, the popularity degraded a lot and with the upcoming Skyesports Championship 4.0, the Indian player base can actually enjoy it. They will get a moment to cherish and compete in this competitive scenario.
Skyesports is bringing back these esports titles to the center stage after a long gap. The last CS:GO tournament that ever happened in India was before the Covid-19 pandemic, which was in DreamHack 2019. Since then there has been no CS:GO LAN tournament in India. Now finally players can compete in this.
Skyesports always have surprises!
Alongside the Skyesports Championship 4.0, the Pokémon Unite India Open 2022 National finals will also take place which holds a massive prize pool of ₹22,50,000 INR.
With a successful calendar year filled with lots of tournaments and events, Skyesports surely has developed the esports scenario.
