The Basketball Federation of India (BFI), the body that governs and controls the sport in the country, has officially announced the eFIBA India Qualifiers. The event will be instrumental in determining Team India for eFIBA Season 3. To organize the qualifying tournament, Jet Skyesports has come on board as the esports partner for BFI. Talking about the collaboration with BFI, Shiva Nandy, Founder and CEO of Skyesports, was quoted saying,

The upcoming eFIBA India Qualifiers will happen during the first half of September 2024, with registration being open until the 5th.
BFI and Skyesports Will Hold eFIBA India Qualifiers In September To Select A 12-Membered Team India
With the announcement of eFIBA India Qualifiers, BFI also launched online registrations for the tournament that will be held between September 6 and 10. The registered players will get an opportunity to compete on NBA 2K24 during the Prelim Rounds. The top contenders will then move on to Playoffs and Grand Finals to grab their chances of representing the country at the Regional Finals for Asia/Oceania. The events will happen on the following dates in September 2024:
- Prelim Rounds – To Happen from September 6 to 8
- Playoffs – To Happen on September 9
- Grand Finals – To Happen on September 10

BFI will finalize a 12-membered team for the eFIBA Regional Finals for Asia/Oceania. If Team India is able to secure a victory in the Regional Finals, it will qualify for the eFIBA Season 3 World Finals, which will be held in December 2024 and will have a prize pool of €50,000. There are over 60 national federations, like BFI, across the world that are taking part in eFIBA Season 3.
