Skyesports has collaborated with THE FINALS to bring a city-vs-city esports tournament featuring top Indian content creators and gamers. The premier esports and gaming organization has conducted city-based format competitions in the past, the Skyesports BGMI League 2023 being an example. Such formats appeal to Indian gaming viewers as they can support a team that represents their city. Adding to the interest, the upcoming Skyesports THE FINALS League will kick off with a player auction.
Skyesports THE FINALS League: Confirmed Participants, Prize Pool, And Represented Cities
Following the Esports Revolution Showdown LAN event and the Community Cup, Skyesports is organizing another THE FINALS esports tournament. It will take place in September this year although the official dates or schedule haven’t been disclosed. Beginning the event will be a player auction in which the captains of the different cities will bid in an attempt to form the strongest teams. Shiva Nandy, Founder and CEO of Skyesports, mentioned that the auction adds more ‘excitement’ to the contest:-
“We are bringing back our league format once again with THE FINALS League and this time, a player auction has also been planned to add an extra layer of excitement… It’s now time for the city-vs-city THE FINALS League, where players can root not only for their favorite gamers but also their local cities and states.”
The confirmed participants for THE FINALS League are Mithul ‘Binks’ Nayak, Manoj ‘Sentinel’ Kashyap, Abhijeet ‘GHATAK’ Andhare, Tanmay ‘Scout’ Singh, Gagandeep ‘Sikh Warrior’ Singh, and Asarudheen ‘Vaadhi’ Samsudheen. Interestingly, gamers Euphoria and Tbone reacted to a deleted post about the tournament, sparking interest from fans about their potential involvement.
GHATAK will be leading the Pune Supernovas team while Vaadhi is the captain of Chennai Comets. Each team will have six members, including the captain, and they will compete in Cash Out mode in Skyesports THE FINALS League. The mode will feature four teams of three members battling on a chosen map and trying to get the most Cash to win. Within an 8-minute mark, players must take out cash and secure them in the Cashout Stations while avoiding or eliminating enemies.
Skyesports revealed a total prize pool of $10,000 /₹8.4 lakh for the city-based THE FINALS League. A total of 10 cities will get representation:-

- Hyderabad Halos
- Kolkata Zeniths
- Mumbai Moonlanders
- Pune Supernovas

The tournament will be livestreamed on The FINALS India and Skyesports YouTube channel. According to the official news, the tournament will feature a Group Stage and two-day Playoffs.
