The Season 2 Reloaded update for Modern Warfare 3 (stylized as Modern Warfare III) and Warzone dropped recently on March 6, 2024. The latest patch has brought tons of content across MW3, MWZ, and WZ, including brand-new weapons – SOA Subverter battle rifle and Soulrender Melee.
The latest Season 2 battle rifle uses 7.62 rounds and has been touted as a “hard-hitting” firearm that “dominates at mid to longer ranges.” The gun has a low rate of fire with a predictable recoil pattern. However, players can also make adjustments to the SOA Subverter battle rifle in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone’s gunsmith to alter the base gun’s attributes.

How To Get SOA Subverter Battle Rifle In Modern Warfare 3 & Warzone Season 2?
Unlike the other Season 2 weapons, the SOA Subverter is not unlockable via the Battle Pass. Instead, players will have to complete the weekly challenges that developers introduced with Season 2 Week 5. Here are the tasks that players are required to complete in Modern Warfare 3, MWZ, and Call of Duty: Warzone to claim the Season 2 battle rifle:
Multiplayer
- Get 15 Operator Hipfire Kills with a Recommended Battle Rifle set to Full Auto Fire Mode – 2,500 XP
- Get 20 Operator Kills with the Tyrant 762 Kit Equipped to the Longbow – 5,000 XP
- Get 10 Operator Melee Backstab Kills – 5,000 XP
- Get 20 Operator Kills with the JAK Maglift Mod Equipped to the Haymaker – 5,000 XP
- Get 15 Operator Quickscope Kills with the JAK Glassless Optic Equipped to a Recommended Weapon – 7,500 XP
- Get 20 Operator Double Kills with the Holger 556 – 7,500 XP
- Get 15 Operator Longshot Kills with a Suppressed Recommended Battle Rifle – 10,000 XP
Zombies (MWZ)
- Get 50 Mercenary Soldier Kills with a Recommended Assault Rifle – 2,500 XP
- Get 5 Rapid Kills 15 Times with a Recommended Assault Rifle – 5,000 XP
- Get 250 Critical Kills with a Recommended LMG – 5,000 XP
- Get 300 Kills with a Recommended LMG while Stamina-Up is Active – 5,000 XP
- Get 250 ADS Kills with a Recommended SMG – 7,500 XP
- Get 500 Kills with A Recommended Shotgun at Epic (Purple) or Higher Rarity – 7,500 XP
- Get 400 Kills with the Holger 556 – 10,000 XP
Battle Royale (Warzone)
- In Warzone Fortune’s Keep, get 10 Operator Kills in the North Region (Gatehouse, Keep, Terraces) – 5,000 XP
- In Warzone Fortune’s Keep, get 10 Operator Kills in the West (Graveyard, Overlook, Town) – 7,500 XP
- In Warzone Fortune’s Keep, get 10 Operator Kills in the East (Konni Outpost, Lighthouse, Pier, Winery) – 5,000 XP
- In Warzone Fortune’s Keep, get 10 Operator Kills in the South (Ground Zero) – 7,500 XP
- In Warzone, Place in the Top 10 five times – 10,000 XP
- In Warzone, complete 15 Contract(s) – 5,000 XP
- In Warzone, open 50 Loot Caches – 2,500 XP
Players can track and complete any five challenges in each game mode to readily unlock SOA Subverter battle rifles in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. Additionally, one will also need a JAK Tyrant 762 Kit, JAK Maglift, and JAK Glassless Optic to complete some multiplayer challenges. They can acquire the said AMP attachments from the previous Season 2 weekly challenges.
