After months of teasing, fans finally got a Solo Leveling season 2 trailer which gave us a glimpse of the anime’s upcoming battles. Not only will we see Sung Jinwoo in action against the Ice Elf Baruka, but also witness the strength of his Shadow Warriors, including Igris. The new trailer also revealed the opening theme song of the series.
Solo Leveling Season 2 Trailer Teased January 2025 Release Window
As per the stunning new preview video released by A1 Pictures, the second season of Solo Leveling will hit the screens in January 2025, although no particular release date has been announced yet. Much like the first installment, the series will premier on Crunchyroll worldwide. As per the leaks, the next season will have a total of 13 episodes, with one airing every week. Moreover, the show will cover the much-awaited Red Gate Arc of the Manhwa series next, with Jinwoo being stranded with his sister’s friend in an extremely cold and freezing dungeon with powerful enemies.
The trailer, which was released on the anime’s official X account, also disclosed the opening theme song for Solo Leveling season 2, titled ‘ReawakeR’. The song will be performed by legendary Japanese singer LiSA and feature Felix of the popular K-Pop band Stray Kids. The audience is really hyped for this collaboration as Stray Kids is one of the most popular bands in Korea while LiSA is known for her phenomenal work in many anime series including Demon Slayer and My Hero Academia.
Additionally, a film compiling key moments from Solo Leveling season 1, and a preview of the first two episodes of season 2 will premiere in Japan on November 28, 2024, and in the USA on December 6. The movie, called Solo Leveling -ReAwakening- will let fans know what they can expect from the second season. Thanks to the visually stunning and action-packed first season, fans are eager to see what happens next. In the Red Gate, Jinwoo will battle against the infamous Ice Elf Baruka and his army. Fan-favorite characters such as Cha Haein, Choi Jongin, and Igris will also grace the screens.
