Nikolay Salikhov took to X/Twitter to share his creation, made using Unreal Engine 5, and dubbed it as “Spider-Punk”. The talented gameplay animator at Guerrilla, showcased a mesmerizing demo on the social media platform, featuring seamlessly executed Spider-Punk traversal animations reminiscent of those found in top-tier AAA games. Describing it as a “small traversal prototype,” the animation portrays an alternate version of Spider-Man effortlessly leaping on the heads of pedestrians while utilizing web-slinging techniques to propel himself forward at remarkable speeds—all brought to life with the assistance of Epic Games’ cutting-edge Unreal Engine 5.
The spectacular Spider-Man model, a creation of senior character artist Giacomo Liberio, serves as the centerpiece for this awe-inspiring demonstration that has garnered widespread acclaim on Twitter. This model was crafted approximately eight months ago, and showcases the artist’s proficiency with tools such as Maya, ZBrush, RizomUV, Marmoset Toolbag, and UE5.
