GTA 6 Release Window Confirmed Again By Take-Two Interactive
Amid the rumors of a delayed release, Take-Two Interactive reassured that Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for the autumn of 2025. The confirmation arrived with a press release on November 6, 2024. GTA 6, the eighth main game in the franchise’s history, falls into the Fiscal 2026 plans of the company alongside Borderlands 4 and Mafia: The Old Country.
Chairman and CEO of Take-Two Interactive Strauss Zelnick is confident about their vision and talent as mentioned in the report:
“As we look ahead, we believe that Take-Two remains exceedingly well-positioned for the long-term. Our vision is clear, our talent is unparalleled, and we have one of the strongest portfolios of owned intellectual property in our industry. With many exciting new titles coming in Fiscal 2026 – including Grand Theft Auto VI in the fall, Borderlands 4, and Mafia: The Old Country – we expect to create long-term value for our shareholders.“
The latest press release also reconfirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI will be available on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, skipping a PC launch for the time being. The GTA 6 platforms were revealed after the trailer went live on YouTube. There have been no changes to Take-Two’s plans according to the earnings call report, which can be found at this link – https://ir.take2games.com/static-files/9aa55113-4f45-4264-8ff6-822353eddcd8.

Grand Theft Auto Online and Grand Theft Auto 5 were highlighted to be the largest contributors to the company’s GAAP net revenue.
