Teenage Mercenary Chapter 215 Recap
Major Kang asks why Dr. Gardner sent Ijin to where his family used to live to save Michael when he has likely already died. The Doctor replies that after Ijin left, Sarah Gardner was assigned to another location as always. However, she was held hostage and ultimately killed there since the Government refused to meet their demands. This makes Kang remember what his superior had told him about Sarah. Despite being heartbroken, Dr. Gardner had pulled himself together for Michael. But after losing his mother, the boy started to have trouble at school.
Michael was bullied relentlessly, and the school refused to do anything about it. He developed severe social anxiety and ultimately passed away due to an accident. Angry with how their country has treated their family, Dr. Gardner joined hands with Aeda and started creating chemical weapons for them. Kang is surprised by the confession but asks him why he involved Ijin in all this. The doctor says it’s because both Sarah and Michael kept wanting to meet Ijin till the day they died. He then promises to cooperate fully and says that Ijin never has to come and meet him again.
Kang then calls Ijin and tells him that Dr. Gardner decided to cooperate with them because seeing Ijin reminded him of the past. It made him realize that he still has family left in the world. After hearing the words, Ijin stands in front of the wall full of family pictures and looks heartbroken. Later at night, the car in which the doctor is being moved is attacked. The two guards are killed by the assassins and a man asks him why he betrayed them.

The next issue of the series will likely focus on the people who kidnapped Dr. Gardner and their intentions. It could be Aeda looking for revenge since he betrayed them. Ijin might also get involved in the rescue operation of the Doctor if he doesn’t get killed. Major Kang will likely help him find Dr. Gardner and reconcile. Fans are hoping to see some great action scenes as Ijin takes on some villains.
