Tekken 8 Demo Features: Arcade Quest, Player vs Player, & The Return of Tekken Ball
Available on PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam since December 23, 2023, the Tekken 8 demo gives a surreal experience of the epic action/fighting that awaits in the full release this year. The Demo gives a tutorial on the new ‘Heat System’ and how players can utilize it during combos after filling the meter by successfully blocking attacks.
Tekken newbies can also practice and experiment with combos of different characters, guided by the screen which shows a set of button controls for a specific combo attack. Subsequently, they can play the Arcade Quest in Tekken 8 Demo to test their skills. The Arcade mode transports the player to a world filled with chibi figures, all aspiring to be Tekken champions, and they can challenge each of them.
From normal Ranked matches to Tournament fights with NPCs, the Arcade Quest gives a taste of what lies in the actual multiplayer online modes. Bandai Namco has gone a step further in making Tekken a cinematic experience with exceptional graphics powered by Unreal Engine 5, a detailed environment, and even providing an option to players to relive the Tekken story from the beginning in a set of films.
The main strengths of Tekken 8 will be in its character and avatar customizations and its multiplayer modes. Players can decorate their favorite characters with a set of cosmetics. On the other hand, the Multiplayer section offers a Tekken Lounge (interact with other players online), Ranked Match, Quick Match, and a Player vs Player online mode to play with friends regardless of the platform (cross-play).
