The TEKKEN 8 team has further stated that players suspected of cheating will receive an in-game alert, and measures including rank data resets. Additionally, account suspensions will be implemented for those found in breach during an upcoming maintenance period.
Harada emphasized the seriousness of the matter via Twitter, announcing that Bandai Namco had initiated a detailed scrutiny of the match data belonging to the players flagged for suspected cheating in online matches, particularly within the ranked arena.
Those implicated in foul play will receive an in-game warning, with their data slated for reset and their accounts subject to suspension during the forthcoming maintenance cycle. “We will keep you informed of any developments as soon as we have further information,” Harada assured the TEKKEN community.
