Tokiyuki Hojo, along with his Elusive Warriors and Akiie’s troops have all started to retreat from the battlefield. It is likely that they will gather somewhere safe to plan for what’s coming. Akiie’s death has affected them all greatly, so they will take some time to mourn the loss before the next war. Fans can expect to see a more determined Tokiyuki hell-bent on defeating his enemies.

The latest update starts with Akiie’s warriors fighting a losing battle to protect their master. Kojiro calls them to retreat but they do not listen. Tokiyuki thinks about how he would like to have a conversation with Akiie but realizes that it’s not possible anymore. Lord Akiie, on the other hand, thinks about how he can make his soldiers pull back so they don’t die. He asks Matsuhime if she has any regrets and she shakes her head in denial. We see a flashback to when Akiie and Matsuhime first met. The latter had stopped talking after the members of her traveling troupe were killed. Akiie said that although she couldn’t sing anymore, she was still a beautiful flower and asked her to stand by his side.
Back to the present, Akiie steals his mind about what he needs to do. With his broken arrow, the talented archer sends over his crown to Tokiyuki. When the boy looks at him, Akiie tells him that as a future ruler, he will need a crown. Then he orders Tokiyuki and his group to flee the battleground. After that, he uses his last arrow to grow beautiful flowers throughout the field before succumbing to his injuries. After his death, the soldiers finally retreat since they don’t have a purpose anymore. But after witnessing such a noble life pass away, Tokiyuki becomes determined to settle the score with everyone in his life.
