On the other hand, Fubuki kills Furan while Hojo’s subordinates ensure victory against Shokan’s other lackey. The battle scenes were all well-animated, which delighted the audience. Unfortunately, the next episode of the anime has been delayed by a week due to unforeseen circumstances.

The Elusive Samurai Episode 9 Recap
The latest update starts with a flashback where Hojo remembers the sword move that Fubuki had taught him. He implements it to cut Shokan’s wrist. Before passing out from blood loss, Shokan says he will kill Tokiyuki. We then see Ayako and Kojiro struggle against one of Shokan’s men. However, when Shizuku shows up to help them, the duo successfully beheads their enemy. Shokan on the other hand, struggles immensely against Tokiyuki who uses his uncanny ability of elusiveness to evade all attacks.
The narrative moves to Fubuki, who slices Furan’s throat after correctly interpreting his moves. Shokan realizes the immense danger he is up against and remembers his past. In the end, he admits defeat in front of the young Tokiyuki’s incredible power. After their landslide victory, Fubuki, Kojiro, and Ayako all congratulate Hojo. Sadamune suddenly appears in the village and the young group gets ready to fight again. However, when Yorishige Suwa and his army arrive, Sadamune is forced to flee along with a barely alive Shokan.
Although he failed to secure the village, Sadamune grants Shokan a small piece of land since he will need his help in the upcoming battle. In the village, Suwa hugs Tokiyuki and says he is happy to see him alive. They tell Fubuki the truth about Hojo’s identity as the sole heir of the Tokiyuki family and ask him to become his retainer. Fubuki agrees wholeheartedly, which makes the group very happy.

Even though the current enemy has been subdued, the obstacles in front of Hojo Tokiyuki are far from over. It seems that Sadamune and Shokan will attack again, and this time, they will engage in an all-out battle against Yorishige’s army. Hojo Tokiyuki, along with Korjiro, Ayako, Shizuku, Genba, and Fubuki will train harder to improve their strength for the impending war.
