The latest episode of the Elusive Samurai anime was just as visually stunning as the previous ones. The plot progression has not stalled as we see the protagonist Tokiyuki and his group come across another young warrior named Fubuki. In the end, it was revealed that the Sawa province and its inhabitants were in a lot more peril than they had previously thought.

What Can You Expect From The Elusive Samurai Episode 8?
Fubuki’s addition to the Elusive Warriors delighted the fans as he is a powerful dual-sword wielder who can train Tokiyuki. But the other new character was not as wholesome. The villain Shokan is quite sadistic as he will go through any means to take control of the Grand Shrine of Sawa for Sadamune. Tokiyuki and his group have a dangerous battle looming over the horizon. With many children to protect, defeating Shokan and his men might be much tougher than anticipated.
The Elusive Samurai Episode 7 Recap
The recent installment, titled ‘Children In Winter’ starts with Tokiyuki and his team visiting a frozen lake. It is revealed that Yorishige’s power to see the future is not working, leading him to worry about Tokiyuki’s well-being. The villains Sadamune and Sukefusa hire a ruthless man named Shokan to acquire a specific area of the Suwa province.
Then we see Tokiyuki and his group volunteering to go and patrol the area, which worries Yorishige. While surveilling, they come across a young swordsman who attacks them. Ayako and Kojiro fight back and wonder if the enemies have already taken over the area. However, the mysterious swordsman lets down his weapons when he recognizes Shizuku. He introduces himself as Fubuki and reveals that every adult in the village has already been killed. The orphaned children have to protect themselves with Fubuki leading them. Fubuki also expresses his desire to impart his skills to a lord who will put them to good use. Tokiyuki decides to make the boy a part of their team so Fubuki can train him.
Shizuku says they should abandon the area and take the children somewhere safer in Suwa, but Tokiyuki disagrees. He wants to save the village the children fought so hard to protect. Fubuki accepts their proposition and they get ready for an enemy attack together. The episode ends with Shokan torturing and killing people before their imminent battle.
