The 9th edition of The Game Awards will showcase a brand-new trailer of Destiny2: Lightfall
Expectations for such an award gala have always been high. The show not only commemorates the triumph of video games, but also showcases the games to be released next year. The official tweet from the producers confirming a brand-new trailer for Bungie’s next expansion has made the fans go gaga.

Developed by Bungie, Destiny 2: Lightfall is the seventeenth DLC expansion of Destiny 2. It’s scheduled to release on February 28th, next year for platforms like PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
The storyline-
The Destiny franchise fans are saying, it’s the beginning of the end. This new expansion, Lightfall, unwraps a new city on Neptune, named Neomuna. The new city is taken over by the Shadow Legion. As a player, you will enter Neomuna and meet the Cloud Striders, who are basically the Guardians. The player needs to save the new human colony along with other Guardians from the Witcher and the Shadow Legion. So, to put it simply- you need to fight the Shadow Legion and save the new city, Neomuna.
New features added to the expansion-
- Addition of a new green subclass element Strand
- In-game LFG system
- Best armor and weapons for PvE
- New Commendation Feature
This is not the first time that the Destiny franchise showcases its new release. The Game Awards 2020 featured Destiny 2: Beyond Light, and Destiny 2: Witch Queen made its gala opening in the 2021 Game Awards.
The Game Awards 2022 is all set to begin today and the new trailer of Destiny 2: Lightfall is definitely amplifying the hype. Just like its previous edition, the venue this year remains Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles. And the show will be livestreamed for free worldwide across forty different digital platforms- Twitch, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok live, Facebook and many more.
