Once a ridiculously long name is decided upon, the assembly begins with one duke saying that they should unquestioningly follow the Angel’s Revelation and bestow the Summer’s Eye upon Lloyd Frontera. Another one asks whether there is a guarantee that he won’t misuse it.
Lloyd promises that he won’t do something so despicable out of his respect for the country and the King. However, the absence of the Summers’s Eye may cause the neighboring country to declare war upon Magentano, bringing needless destruction. On the other hand, not following the Angel’s Revelation may cause harm to the country. He then proposes an alternative where Summer’s Eye will be given to him and a trade route be created through the Pantera mountain range. Lloyd confidently says that although the mountain is almost impossible to cross, he can create a trade route that will bring in a lot of profit, making the country stronger.
Lloyd easily manipulates the nobles to agree to his plan by exploiting their greed. He tells the queen regnant about his plan to make a train route through the flat peak of the mountain since it’s impossible to climb on foot.
